"WAnder far" Liability Reduction Options
We know that sometimes, it's OK to take a bit of a risk in life, other times you like to understand that everything will be OK. Thats why, we have options to reduce your liability in the case of an accident, and to cover you for those things that sometimes happen, such as flat tyres or that rock through the windscreen.
Our 'Wander Far' coverage options are:
Wander Far 'Option 1'
- $45 per day (Max 50 days / $2,250)
- Excess Reduction $2,500 (Authorisation on Credit Card)
- Includes: 1 windscreen replacement, one tyre, single vehicle accident coverage and Vehicle retrieval and recovery costs.
Wander Far 'Option 2'
- $60 per day (Max 50 days / $3,000)
- Excess Reduction $750 (Authorisation on Credit Card)
- Includes: Unlimited windscreen replacement, two tyres, single vehicle accident coverage and Vehicle retrieval and recovery costs.
Whilst we prepare the RedSands vehicles to the highest quality possible, it is always nice to know you will be covered for those unexpected situations. If they happen, just give us a call and we will sort the rest out for you.
Bond - how does it work?
If you opt not to reduce your liability in the case of an accident, we will require a AUD$7,000 bond from you to secure the hire of the 4WD Camper over the duration of the rental period. This bond will be held over the vehicle and returned to you, usually within a week of you returning the vehicle. Of course we know and understand that from time to time, things happen and should any damage occur to the vehicles, we will supply you with an itemised report with the costs to repair. We are not in business to make money out of your misfortune if damage occurs, we just want to get the camper back on the road for the next lucky person about to embark on their adventure. Information we collect
We may collect personal information from you, your travel agent or any other organisation involved in providing our services to you. You may provide us with personal information about yourself or others each time you contact us by letter, e-mail, electronic message or web enquiry form.
The personal information we may collect includes;
Name and Address;
Date of Birth;
Drivers Licence details;
Credit card numbers and expiry dates;
Local address, if holidaying; and
Your location, usage and servicing of your vehicle, your speed, fuel consumption, and distances travelled.
Disclosure of personal information and marketing
We will use and disclose your personal information for the primary purposes of our business as a hirer/ renter or retailer.
We may disclose your personal information to the following third parties;
Government authorities and law enforcement agencies;
Our contractors, to whom we may outsource our services;
IT service providers; and
External advisers, including our accountants, auditors and lawyers.
In addition we may use such information to market products and services offered by RedSands Campers unless you have indicated that you do not wish to receive such marketing offers or material. Such a request can be made to RedSands Campers. In this case we will only use the personal information provided for the sole purpose of providing the services you have requested.
Personal information provided within our web enquiry page and/or Customer Satisfaction survey may be used for business operational, marketing and statistical purposes unless you have indicated that you do not wish the information provided to be used.
We will not otherwise provide your personal information to a third party without your approval.
Sending information overseas
Sometimes our agents or your travel agents are based overseas. We may transfer information about you overseas if required when providing our services to you.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure all entities to whom we transfer your personal information comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including ensuring appropriate security measures are taken by those entities to protect your personal information from unauthorised access and use.

We will reasonably attempt to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, up to date and complete. To assist us to do this, please provide us with the correct information at the point of collection. You can ask us to correct any inaccurate information by contacting us by letter, electronic message, e-mail or web enquiry.
When you visit the redsandscampers.com.au site to read, browse or download information, our system may record your IP address, date and time of your visit, the pages viewed and any information downloaded. Your personal information is not collected and you cannot be identified from this process. This information is collected for statistical purposes only and enables us to monitor the online service and information we provide.
