Wander even further with 4 new drop-off locations on the East Coast
With depots in Perth, Broome, Darwin and Adelaide, you’re all set to explore some breathtaking places with your RedSands vehicle. But why stop there? We’re excited to announce that we now offer drop-offs at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns, if you hire one of our vehicles for 80 days or more. This is your chance to do that full loop of Australia you’ve always dreamt of doing, or simply visit a range of beautiful locations “out east” like the Blue Mountains, Great Ocean Road and the world-famous Great Barrier Reef.
Enjoy more of all that Australia has to offer
RedSands Campers was founded in Perth, so it’s no secret the team has a great love for the west coast, but we’d be the first to admit there’s so much to explore elsewhere in Australia too.
You can now extend your camper rental and drive to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Cairns instead of flying there from one of our depot locations. This allows you to continue your Aussie outback adventure and see even more of all that Australia has to offer. One of the best things is, we don’t charge any one-way fees for this – just like you’re used to from us today!
A vast number of locations to add to your itinerary
If you’re unsure of what to do and see along the way, then we’ve got you covered. After visiting the famous Barossa Valley, known for its world-class wineries, what about driving the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide to Melbourne, where you can see the famous 12 Apostles, visit Point Addis National Marine Park and do the Kennett River Koala Walk? On the official Visit Great Ocean Road website, you can find some great itineraries that’ll help you plan out this iconic drive in the best possible way.
- The ocean drive between Melbourne and Sydney is one to add to your travel itinerary too. It offers both beautiful nature and interesting cultural sites. One of many great places to visit along this drive is Jervis Bay – with stunning white-sand beaches, the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse offering wide-stretching views of the region (and if you’re lucky, whales too!) and Booderee National Park you could easily spend a few days here.
- Queensland, where drop-off is available in Brisbane and Cairns, offers a huge array of sites you don’t want to miss out on. Hoping to spot wildlife? Watch turtle hatchlings make their way to the ocean at Mon Repos (outside of Bundaberg) or go whale watching in Hervey Bay, which is the world’s first official Whale Heritage Site. If you’ve always wanted to see kangaroos on the beach, Cape Hillsborough National Park is the place to go to.
- Cairns is nestled between two World-Heritage sites: the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, both of which are a must on anyone’s Australia bucket list. For inspiration on what to do in far north Queensland, have a look at 10 of the best things to do around Cairns.
